Car coat pattern block or 3D "starter garment," fit on male avatar. Perfect starting point for designing any tailored outerwear piece. Garment is single-breasted with a convertible notch collar, 2-piece sleeves, single back vent, pocket markings and includes sufficient ease. See fit details for specifications.

Patterns include names and all appropriate notches. It has pocket markings, but no pocket bags or seam allowance. PDFs
include print-at-home, A0, projector and .ai versions with all sizes. CLO file is in low res, includes applicable avatar, buttons and pocket welts. Garment is ready for editing as a block and does not include facings, lining, turnback hems or seam allowance.

Avatar is 5'11" or 180.5cm. Garment has 5"(12.7cm) of ease in the chest.

Excellent starting point for developing own designs

I recently purchased the Car Coat Block Male (.ZPRJ File) from IDES Studio, and it is proving to be an invaluable addition to my block library. This file includes a classic silhouette for a men's Car Coat block, and it is an incredibly handy starting point for developing my own custom styles and designs - it has saved me hours of work, drafting my own coat block from scratch.

I am an Australian men's size Large, and this block fits true to size. The block is well drafted and the file is easy to work with. The pattern pieces are precise, making it simple to adapt and experiment with different proportions or details. The clean layout of pattern pieces in the file ensures that everything is well organised and easy to work with.
